Dr Ganesh is a pain specialist with more than 15 years of experience in caring people with pain and is delighted to serve in the city of canning.

Dr Ganesh qualified in Sri Lanka and has a MBBS, doctorate in anesthesia and pain medicine (MD), is a Fellow of Royal College of Anesthetist (FRCA) UK, Fellow of Australian and New Zealand College of Anesthetist (FANZCA), and Fellow of Faculty of pain medicine ANZCA (FFPMANZCA).

Currently Ganesh is a specialist in pain medicine at Fiona Stanley Hospital, Waikiki Private Hospital, and St. John of God Bunbury Hospital; he has worked in Australia for the past 9 years. Prior to Australia he worked in the United Kingdom and Sri Lanka in the field of pain medicine and anesthesia.

Dr Ganesh’s areas of expertise are:

• Spine pain – neck, upper and low back, and sciatica
• Joint-related pain – shoulder, hand, hip, knee, and ankle
• Neuropathic pain – trigeminal neuralgia, atypical facial pain, multi therapy resistance headaches
• Primary pain – complex regional pain syndromes

His key therapies include:

• Radiofrequency neurotomy (Rhizotomy)
• Neuromodulations
• Percutaneous electrical nerve stimulation
• Epidural injections
• Steroid injections

Dr Ganesh describes his approach is being to tailor – make therapy for patients, and his goal is to provide quality service to improve their lives. To achieve it, he maintains a close working relationship with GPs, other specialists, and allied health professionals in the Greater Perth.
